Michael M. (Mike) McCall CPA is a shareholder and President of McCall Gibson Swedlund Barfoot PLLC. McCall Gibson Swedlund Barfoot PLLC is a Texas CPA firm that provides accounting and auditing services to local governmental and not-for-profit entities only. Mike has worked in public accounting since July 1977 and has had his own firm since March 1, 1987. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1975 with a BBA in Accounting. Other than working on governmental entities, and prior to having his own firm, Mike's experience includes fraud investigations, tax fraud engagements, construction accounting and hospital accounting.

Prior to working in public accounting Mike proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968 through 1972, including one tour of duty in Southeast Asia. Following military service, he was a shareholder in a Houston Area family owned commercial construction company from 1974 to 1977.

The firm provides accounting and auditing services to more than 220 water districts and related entities, small cities, emergency services districts, management districts, development districts and improvement districts and levee improvement districts. The firm also serves numerous not-for-profit entities including water supply corporations, redevelopment authorities, economic development corporations, community development corporations, volunteer fire departments and numerous larger homeowner associations.

Mike's other interests include church work, farming, hunting and fishing, when time allows. Mike and his wife, Karen, have three married children, the oldest is Lisa, a homemaker and mother of grandchildren Elizabeth, Jonathan and Timothy, Scott a Veterinarian in Granbury, Texas and father to Bailey and Avery and Andy a Pepperdine Law School graduate and lawyer practicing law in Abilene, Texas and father to Allison and James. No other CPA that you know can demonstrate his organizational skills by having all three children born on the same day, April 6^th.
